Bloom & Grow Wallet Folio Mini Album

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a new mini album I created with the Bloom & Grow collection by Simple Stories.

This wallet folio is so quick and easy to make. It's perfect for scrapping an event that you have a lot of photos of. Mine has 14 photos in it but I certainly could have fit more.

Check out the video below to see the complete album. I've also provided all the measurements if you'd like to create one for yourself.

Wallet Folio Mini Album Instructions

Supplies Needed:

Scoring board

Bone folder

Paper trimmer

Liquid glue

Score Tape

Ruler

4 sheets of 12x12 cardstock for the base, pocket and flaps

3-6 sheets of various patterned papers to decorate (Tip: use your scraps and 4x4 cut-apart sheets!)

Embellishments

Cardstock Base:

Cut 1 piece 8 3/8” x 12”. On the 12” side, score at 4”, 4 3/8”, 8 5/8” and 9”.

With the leftover piece, cut 1 piece 8 3/8” x 2” for the pocket. Apply 1/4" score tape along the edge of the two short sides and 1 long side.

For the flaps, cut 12 pieces 4 5/8” x 4 1/8”. You will get 4 from each sheet. Score at ½” on the 4 5/8” side. Apply score tape to the ½” edge and adhere 6 of the flaps together, one on top of the other. Do the same for other side.

Patterned Papers:

Middle section (front and back) - Cut 2 pieces 8 ¼” x 4”.

Bottom flap (front and back) - Cut 2 pieces 8 ¼” x 3 6/8”.

Top flap (front and back) – Cut 2 pieces 8 ¼” x 2 6/8”.

Flaps - Cut 4” x 4” pieces. How many is up to you.

Pocket matte is 8 ¼” x 1 7/8”.

Photo Sizes:

All my photos are 4" x 4" with a thin white border. I adhered them all onto the black cardstock. If you adhere them to the patterned paper squares, then you would have to print your photos a bit smaller.

Notes:

For the inside of the album, I mostly used cardstock ephemera pieces or stickers that were flat so as not to create too much bulk.

I printed my journaling and tucked it into the pocket on the bottom flap. You could also add extra ephemera pieces or tags in the pocket.

To secure the book, I used ribbons which I secured under the patterned paper on the top outside flap as well as the middle section in the back. Alternatively, you could use magnets.
