Joyful Christmas Card

Hello crafty friends,

Christmas is less than two weeks away and I finally finished stamping, addressing and writing out my Christmas cards. All that's left to do is mail them! Normally I'm way ahead of the game on sending out my cards, but this year it's been hard to get into the Christmas spirit with everything going on in the world.

But today I'm happy to share one of the cards I created that was really quick and simple to make. The technique I used on this card was inspired by a Jennifer McGuire video called Easy Pigment Powder Backgrounds.

First, I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Mod Trees background cling stamp onto navy cardstock using Versamark ink. Then using a fine brush, I lightly tapped Ranger Perfect Pearl Powder over the embossed areas. The brilliant shine and sparkle this creates is so pretty and honestly, the pictures don't do it any justice. Once it was dry, I cut the panel down to 4" x 5.25" and adhered it to a standard A2 white cardbase.

Next, I die cut the CZ Design Joyful Wafer Die from holographic cardstock and the shadow die three times from some red cardstock to give it dimension. I adhered all the layers together and glued it to the bottom right of my card. I added some silver jewels and wrapped some twine around the card to finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I appreciate you taking the time to do so.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday season. :)
