Too Cute to Spook Layout

Happy Sunday friends!

Our cute little bumblebee Adam is making another appearance on my socials because you can never have too many Halloween baby layouts IMO. 🥰

A little mixed media, stenciling and paper tearing were some of the techniques I used on this page. I also machine stitched around the perimeter of the white cardstock.

I used the Spooky Nights collection by Simple Stories. I believe it's an older collection which I picked up on clearance at one of my LSS. I only bought some puffy stickers and a 6x8 pad because that's all they had left in stock. Talk about stretching your supplies! I matted white cardstock on black and layered that on top of a gingham patterned paper I found in my stash from a Fall kit. Perfect!

I was inspired by a layout that appeared in the Summer 2022 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine by Marcia Dehn-Mix.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a wonderful day! 😊

A Fun Flower-shaped Mini Album

Hey there crafty friends,

Today I'm sharing a fun little project I created in one of Paige Taylor Evans' virtual classes.

This flower-shaped mini album packs a punch! It features handstitching, photo flips, embellishment clusters and lots of journaling!

All the petals fold into themselves to close the album, so clever! I handstitched each petal with floss to match the patterned paper.

I used Paige's Wonders collection to document a wonderful crafty weekend with my crafty friends last Fall in Kingston.

Here's a quick video so you can see how interactive this cute little album is.

Here's a link to Paige's online class. I highly recommend taking her classes. She is so super creative and fun to scrap with!

Don't Worry Bee Happy Hexagon Layout

Hello crafty friends!

What better way to frame this photo of grandpa and his little buddy than with colourful patterned paper hexagons. I used Paige Taylor Evans' Wonders Collection to create this layout. She also taught this layout design in one of her virtual classes.

Our grandson was dressed up as a cute little bumblebee last Halloween and the hexagons reminded me of honeycombs, so it was the perfect design to document this photo.

I handstitched each hexagon with embroidery floss and a chain link stitch. It definitely took some time to stitch them all but I love the homespun look and it really adds beautiful texture to the layout.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day! 😀
