Crafty Friends are the Best Friends Layout

Hi friends!

Crafty friends are the best friends! That's for darned sure. Non-crafty people have a hard time understanding what scrapbooking is all about and why we're obsessed with paper, stickers and all the things! This hobby is about creating beautiful things that bring us joy and happiness and crafty friends totally get that! 

This layout is documenting a crafty weekend with my friends (aka Add to Cart Girls) in Ottawa last year. It's so nice to spend time with creative people who share the same passion for this hobby as I do. ❤️

I used a cut file by Paige Taylor Evans which appeared on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog for their Subscriber Day event last year.

I backed the cut files with papers from the Doodlebug Designs Cute & Crafty Collection and embellished it with ephemera from the collection.

Since the cut file takes up most of the page, there really was no place to journal. So I created a pocket behind my layout and inserted a journaling tag to document this memory. It's also a nice way to keep the journaling private.

12x12 Circle Design Layout

Hello friends! 

I'm back with this fun scrapbook layout I created of my grandson Adam. This was from a virtual class I took with Paige Taylor Evans. Paige always comes up with the most creative ways to use patterned paper and I am a huge fan of her designs and collections.

For this project, I used Paige's Wonders Collection with American Crafts, and various letter stickers I had in my stash for this cute circle design. I did some machine stitching around all the circles.

Each word represents one of the many nicknames we’ve called Adam since he was born. For the background, I used one of Vicki Boutin‘s premade mixed media pages.
