Party Hat Mini Album

Hello crafty friends!

Today I have a cute and fun project to share with you. It's a mini album in the shape of a party hat, full of bright happy colours topped off with a homemade pom-pom.

I love these bite-sized projects that are quick and easy to make. They can house quite a lot of photos of one particular event and are a nice alternative to a scrapbook layout where you might not have enough real estate to include all the photos you want.

This mini album was taught by Paige Evans in one of her PaigePals3 virtual classes. Here is the link to the class if you are interested in making one of your own: Party Hat Mini Album Tutorial

I used an older scrapbooking collection by Echo Park Paper called "Play All Day Boy". Although it's not a birthday collection per se, when I pulled it out I thought the patterned papers and embellishments would lend themselves well to a birthday theme and I love how it turned out. I also used a lot of stickers and ephemera from various collections I had in my stash. And of course machine stitching on each page gives this mini album a homespun look.

Thanks for stopping by! As always, if you have any questions, please leave me a comment below.

Have a wonderful crafty day! 😊

Birthday Cake & Banners Layouts

Hey crafty friends!

Happy Friday! It's the long weekend and I hope you have all had a fabulous summer so far. As the summer winds down, I'm happy to admit that I'm not sad about it all. I love the cooler temperatures, the beautiful Autumn colours and of course all the baking that comes with the Fall.

Today I have two cute layouts to share. These layouts were taught by Paige Evans in her PaigePals3 classes. These classes came out last Fall and I bought the whole bundle so I'm still catching up on all the projects.

Here are the links if you're interested in checking them out:

Birthday Cake & Banners Layouts Standalone Class

First up is the birthday banners layout which is great for using up those patterned paper scraps we can't bear to throw away. All you need is a circle punch and some scissors. ✀

The machine stitching ensures the banners stay in place forever and adds a homespun look.

I used Paige Evans' Blooming Wild Collection. ðŸ’•

Next is the Birthday Cake layout. This layout features a paper-pieced and hand-stitched birthday cake, and the candles and balloons are stamps I had in my stash. I used Ranger Texture Paste and a stars stencil for the background.

I used the Made with Love collection by Doodlebug Design. I love the bright and happy colours!

Both these layouts were so fun to create! I love how they totally stand apart from each other in terms of design.

As always, let me know if you have any questions.

Have a wonderful weekend and stay crafty! 😊
